The SIGHT AI Lab sparks innovation, connects talent, and applies AI to real energy challenges - promoting a smarter, more digital, and sustainable future.

Held as part of the Seismic Imaging & Geophysical HPC Technologies (SIGHT)-organized by SLB in partnership with SEG-the initiative empowers participants with real-world tools, mentorship, and problem-solving experience that bridge science, data, and digital transformation across the energy sector.

Over the course of the AI Lab, participants will gain hands-on experience with SLB's digital platforms, access real industry datasets, and receive expert guidance through knowledge-sharing sessions and applied technical challenges.

A 4-week virtual learning series exploring how AI is transforming the energy sector.

Advance into deep learning with CNNs, RNNs, and neural propagation

Stream 2

AI Hands-on Missions

Participants tackle real industry challenges, applying AI to optimize operations and reimagine geoscience workflows.

01 - 2D-to-3D Seismic Interpolation

Train a deep learning model for interpolating 2D seismic images into a 3D volume

02 - First Break Picking

Apply machine learning methods for seismic first arrival event detection

03 - Computer Vision

Use images/videos to train a computer vision model for field relevant insights

04 - Log Correlation

Build AI models to depth-match log responses (Gamma Ray, Density, etc...)

Recognition at SIGHT 2026

Winners will be recognized at SIGHT 2026, celebrating innovation in applying AI across energy and geoscience disciplines.
